People gather in “SILATDA IMMawati” which was held by IMM Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo at Pendopo Purworejo, on Friday.

Along with the development of the times of course the country always wanted figur that was continuous in the future and could look all aspects of opportunity based on movement. Talking about the movement of Indonesian women were not actually apart from the progress of the Indonesian nation. Mrs.Siti as the speaker said the role of Indonesian women in the development process were not  maximum and even actually overlooked in the case of the potential .
The activity was followed by all the HIMAwati from Central Java and especially students of Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo. The background of this agenda was to improve good relationship and unity. When we talked about women, rarely reflected the women as worker who worked from morning until nightand there were only in the house in the morning and evening. Event though the concept of a woman was a woman who was a teacher in life, someone who was tough, had a unique identity and had its own potential without must be supported by any kind including by stereotypes that strongly embedded.

As a woman we must know the fundamental issues about women, we must know about child health issues, issues how do economic empowerment whose purpose was to help the family's economy, we  took heart to get support from the men, we must respect each other and did not compete with other women, we must be able to support each other between women, where we were, we must have the insight that there was a ghost and the differences must exist and we should be able to position wherever we were. We as women were looking forward to support from men.
This event has just been held this year in Purworejo, this event was followed by fifty eight HIMAwati. According to Anggra as the commite. She is one of himawati from Purworejo. She hoped about this event could give many benefits  for all and could be held again in the next year and became a routine agenda.

How to encourage English Department Students
to Speak English More Often and confidently

English is not a very difficult language to speak, as most people believe especilly English departmen students. While lerning to speak English, most of the people tend to make some common mistakes. People believe that writing and speaking are same things, but they are not writing and speaking , require a different set of strategies.
 I have met many people who are very good writes, but not good speakers and vice versa. I have also seen many people who believe that a strong grammatical understanding is required to speak English fluently but I have many English friends who dont know the grammatical intricacies. So what are the important tips and techniques that we are supposed to follow in order to become a fluent English speaker, these are listening, speaking and reading, these skills can all be practiced alone.
Listening , to become a better speaker you have to become a good listener. Try to watch English news channel, English movies, English TV series like game of Thrones, friend, prison break or something like that. While watching keep your keep your mind active and put focus on how a particular word is pronounced. It will also help you in building a good vocabulary. Speaking , this is most crucial part of the whole process. Try to speak as much as possible. Practice makes men perfect more you practice the better you get. Try to speak with your friends, your teachers and at every possible place. You can also practice in front of a mirror. Reading, many people ignore this part considering is irrelevent. Reading helps in thinking and give some food for your thoughts. The most important contribution of reading is a strong vocabulary. You can read the newspaper, magazine, novel etc. If youare a beginner, try to read a light novel lets say of Chetan Bhagat. While reading make a list of words that are new to you and try to revise them again and again.
Dont waste time studying grammar or vocabulary. Dont waste time trying to speak. You should spend all of your time aither listening or reading. This is the fastest and most efficient method for speaking English more often and confidently for English department students.

ENGLISH STUDY CENTRE
English study centre (ESC) is one of the organization at Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo, which studies about english. English study centre founded in March 6th, 1997. English study centre is organization which have programs like studi banding, bakti sosial, mabit, diklat ,english festival and etc.
 English study centre has structure organization, started from BPH, which consist of president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. The job of BPH is responsible about all of problems from others devision’s program, managing of document and administration of finances. Developing of devision organization have programs like requirement, reorganization, training , education program and studi banding. Devision creativity has a program English festival, usually we are called EF. English festival is a big event which hold competitions like debate, spelling bee, news anchor, drama, and speech. Devision of religion have programs like recitation of the Qur’an and mabit. Relationship of devision society have programs like social of charity and handling of social media (instragram, facebook, and blog of ESC). Devision of academic has a program internal course for all of students at Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo. Devision of EDIF has a program debate. Every years, EDIF always sends vice of students English department to join EDIF competition at Yogyakarta. These are devisions at ESC, We can get many benefit if join ESC because with ESC we conquer the world.

BENTENG KUTO BESAK (BKB)
PALEMBANG

Benteng Kuto Besak is a history palace building at Palembang Musi river. The fort is located at Palembang on the banks of the Musi river. This building has a high historical value because the fort’s age has reached hundreds year. From there we can look Ampera bridge. This fort is built in 1780 on the initiative of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin 1,who regined in 1724-1758.
At evening, the area of BKB is filled by merchants. Traveler can hunt special culinary from Palembang, such as empek-empek. We can be enjoy our meal on the boat floating restaurant at Musi river. The atmosphere will be dramatice because the light comes from the row of garden light creates a yellow reflection on the surface of the Musi river. It’s so amazing view.

KEMARO ISLAND

Once upon a time, the king which was leading in Sriwijaya kingdom had a daughter, who was called Siti Fatimah. She was very beautiful. She fell in love with a trader from Tiongkok, Tan Bun Ann. Both Siti Fatimah and Tan Bun Ann loved each other. One day, Tan Bun Ann wanted to marry Siti Fatimah. Siti Fatimah’s father, the king of Sriwijaya kingdom, offered some requirements for Tan Bun Ann before married with Siti Fatimah. The king asked him to bring 9 bags of gold. Tan Bun Ann’s families agreed with the requirements.

Tan Bun Ann’s families put the gold in the bag, and they covered it with some vegetables to avoid some pirates at that time, but Tan Bun Ann didn’t know about it. When the King wanted to see the gold, Tan Bun Ann was surprised because he saw the vegetables in the bag instead of the gold. The King was angry and Tan Bun Ann was extremely shy, then he kicked the bag into the river. He jumped into the river afterwards.

Siti Fatimah was disappointed. She also jumped into the river, but before that she said, “Somedays, there would be a land in the middle of the river, and it would be known as my grave.” Today we can see that what Siti Fatimah  had said becomes true. Many people believe that Kemaro Island is the grave of Siti Fatimah.

Saute of Beans Mixed “Tempe Berek”

Ingredients :

-          Long beans

-          2 sheets of bay leaves

-          4 cloves of sliced red onions

-          2 cloves of sliced garlics

-          ½ piece of “Tempeh Berek”

-          12 piece of green chilies

-          5 piece of cayennes

-          Salt and brown sugar to taste

-          Cooking oil to taste

Steps

1.       These are steps to make saute of beans mixed “ Tempeh Berek”.

2.       Firstly, prepare ingredients, such as long beans, tempeh berek, bay leaves, red onions, garlics, green chilies, cayennes, brown sugar, cooking oil and water.

 

3.       After than, cut the long beans, sliced red onion, sliced garlics, sliced cayennes and seasoning.

 

4.       Next, washing long beans and spices.

5.       Then, pour a little oil into frying pan until rather heat, if the oil was hot, enter sliced red onoins and garlics, and than enter cayennes and green chilies, wait until fragrance and add salt and brown sugar while stir while until well mixed.

 

6.       Then, enter “ tempeh berek” fried briefly.

7.       And than enterlong beans, add a little water.

 

8.       And close frying pan with cover the pan to make long beans will be soft until five minutes.

9.        After than open frying pan, if the taste is just right, lift and ready to be served.
